Abstract: Client was unhappy with aging of original sign (not ours) and wanted a material that would last.
Determination: As this is a high quality gold-leaf carved sign it was important to use only the best materials. A wood carved sign was quickly ruled out due to the stability over a 4ft x 5ft run and also wood's ability to take on water. After designing the sign, we specified high-quality sign paints similiar to those used on autos. The material used is dimensionally stable, two inches thick, and the gold is 23k gold.
